Even weeks after I’ve finished this book, I haven’t gotten around to the review, since I couldn’t really manage to phrase what I thought about it. What I can definitely confirm now – after getting the book suggested, I was warned that it would be “an experience” rather than a simple read and I can surely second that now. Going through it in a flash, just in about a week was the biggest proof for me that it was so gripping that you won’t want to put it down.

To me, it was a perfect mix of effortless style (the switches between the main narrative, a movie plot description and the characters’ narratives in general were completely effortless), a story that you wanted to hear the end of, with passages that made you analyse certain thoughts and ideas deeper, as well as being sprinkled with a refreshing spark of a sense of humour.

You’ll quickly learn to appreciate the styling of the actual text and the way it is placed in the book, which forces you out of a classic reading flow, breaking it up, slowing it down or speeding it up, turning messages into visual means, though at all times fitting perfectly with the actual story.

I just wouldn’t suggest to read it on public transport – I’ve had multiple times when I almost missed my stop because I simply couldn’t tear my attention away from the story.
An absolute suggestion and I couldn’t think of any points which would reduce it from a 5 out of 5 star rating!
